An AI-powered parking space monitor designed to solve the daily frustration of residential street parking. Packaged entirely as a single, lightweight HTML file, SPOT runs 100% locally in your browser with zero installation or cloud dependencies. Simply open the file, allow webcam access, draw a custom detection zone over your street parking spot, and start tracking. The system utilizes local computer vision to watch the space and triggers 5 loud audio beeps the exact second it frees up.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Danish, a student and developer.
Living on a busy residential street in the UK, I faced a daily, frustrating problem: coming home, finding no parking spaces outside my house, and having to park streets away. I would spend the next hour constantly looking out the window hoping a space would open up - only for someone else to snag it seconds before I noticed.
I wanted a solution, but I didn't want to install heavy software, configure complicated IDEs, or pay for expensive cloud-based CCTV subscriptions that compromise my privacy.
So, I built SPOT.
It packs a full computer vision and vehicle tracking pipeline into a single, standalone HTML file. You literally just double-click to open it in your browser, draw a zone over your parking space, and let it run locally. The second a vehicle leaves, it plays 5 loud beeps so you can grab your keys and take the spot. It is 100% private, with zero server costs and zero configuration.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any feature ideas you have for future versions! If you find this project interesting, please consider dropping a star on GitHub: https://github.com/danishzubair/...

Downloaded the html file and was honestly surprised it just worked straight away. Drew a box over my parking spot and the beeps fired the second someone pulled out. Super simple but solves a real headache.

The single HTML file approach is genuinely clever, no install, no cloud, just open and go. Drew my zone over the curb and the five beeps actually fired the moment a car pulled out, which felt oddly satisfying.
