As a developer who spends most of my day in the terminal with multiple tabs open, I found myself constantly needing a quick way to jot down notes during meetings or capture thoughts while working on projects. Sure, there are amazing tools like Obsidian and Notion out there, but sometimes you just want something simple and fast that fits into your existing workflow.
That's exactly why I built Splitmark - it's not trying to replace your comprehensive note-taking setup, but rather complement it. Think of it as the lightweight, CLI-first tool for those moments when you need to quickly capture markdown without leaving your terminal.
The cool part is Splitmark Cloud, which lets you sync your notes across devices and even edit them in a web browser when you want a full-featured visual markdown preview. It's like having the best of both worlds - terminal speed when you need it, visual editing when you want it.
