Review of SpinupWP

I've been using SpinupWP daily since I heard about it. I've spun up and torn down every combination I could think of. I have two droplets running with 2 and 6 WP instances setup - and I feel really really great about it. The workflow - combined with wp-migrate-pro - is super great. Coming back to WP after years was 10x easier with this setup. I'm really excited - and you should be too. The support on a few questions I had was a little / blah - and unthoughtful - but I've seen some of those questions addressed over the last month. In general / I really love the idea of having a better admin panel for droplets / and now I don't have to get out my huge google-doc with the steps to setup virtual servers anymore - and I don't have to worry if I messed something up. I just want to get to work an know things are smart and safe. This product is making that happen. I am also really impressed with their copy and storyline for marketing this product on their website. It's golden. This thing turns water into wine.

As an agency owner, SpinupWP is about as close to a WP control panel as I could envision if I was designing it myself. I've used several alternatives - Cloudways, WP Engine, Serverpilot, Runcloud, Flywheel - and nothing matches the simplicity and speed with which I can configure and launch a new server.

The product is still young, but I'm confident that it will improve quickly. The developers are very open to suggestions, and extremely helpful when it comes to answering questions. The documentation so far is very good, but still a bit sparse in some areas. At the moment it offers excellent guidance on how to migrate sites between servers when switching and there are plenty of useful tips. However because it's still very new, the detail for the slightly more advanced configurations such as where to add Nginx directives and examples of things like redirections is still a bit thin. I'm delighted with it so far, and because I trust the Delicious Brains tools I have no hesitation in recommending it.

A wonderful project that was desperately needed by the ecosystem. Great job!

Makes the non-trivial tasks of spinning up and backing up WordPress websites simple. I love the simplicity and UI of this tool. It does what it does well.

Review of SpinupWP
I needed a wordpress multisite install with in subdirectory mode but made the mistake of thinking one of the well know managed wordpress platforms would be the reliable answer. 2 days of my life gone to weird behaviour, probably from htaccess or their glacially slow DNS I was ready to give up when I remembered Delicious Brains have always supported multisite well so I decided to give SpinupWP a try. Using Digital Ocean as the provider SpinupWP worked right out of the box… and I see none of the weird issues Apart from doing a better job than a much more expensive service, what I like most, as an agency is the ability to run up a server of any size, in any region, even on different providers to run as many sites as I like at the base rate of digital ocean(or AWS etc) plus a very modest price for the SpinupWP control. very well done indeed. As a recent blog pointed out, it’s not quite as easy with AWS or Google, due mostly to AWS and Google legacy approach. However once the more tedious steps required to get things going on those behemoths were done AWS is working perfectly. …Google Compute Engine’s Awful User interface sent me into a coma, so I just deleted it. Thank You
