Damn!! this is so cool. Literally breaks the line between virtual and real world with life like avatars. Guess XR is the new normal with major players like MagicLeap and FB. Can't wait to see how this goes though each of them are focused on different domains right now, they are gonna branch out and compete at one point. @anandx is it just for collaborative work for distributed teams or ll be open as a consumer product as well?

@akshaymoorthy its actually a great single player experience as well. Because all the windows from your monitor can now be viewed at room scale. Very much think of it as a consumer productivity tool long term, just need devices to get consumer affordable.

There are times when I see a piece of tech and feel like a kid who has gone to his first science expo. That feeling comes rare these days. The demo video just blew me away. You guys took the AR tech and stitched together perfectly to solve a real world problem. Can't wait to try it out. The only negative thought that went through my mind, is will it cause headaches? How long were the human trials?

@aslamabbas we do our weekly meetings in Spatial and have had meetings for up to 2 hours. But the headsets will definitely get better, lighter, more comfortable, etc making this even easier and one day replacing your monitor.

Great tech achievement. The bigger hurdle than price will be what pain is this clearly solving for a business. I work remotely and manage a distributed team. For the most part, current tech is not bad at faciliatating our remote work. But, here are some issues that we face. Anytime, you can pitch your product as solving one or more of these issues, I think you'll have an easier time in getting business buy-in. 1) Tech connectivity: "Can you hear me", "I lost the conference bridge id" "my screenshare isn't working" "i can't download the app to connect with you" 2) Disengagement: "Sorry I was on mute" - no you weren't you were browsing reddit :) 3) Missing in Action: "Where are you, need to talk to you about something important right now" 4) Misc: ... PH community? anyone else, add below here.

Great! very awesome product you have built! Would this have a "continue where you left off" feature? A feature that would let sessions data and spacial setup be saved where they where, so people could change "war rooms" as they like. In my work at a design- and innovation agency we have all these brown papers with sketches, insights and post-its plastered on the wall of a war room. Everytime we change to a new project we have to make space and put new stuff up. Sometimes many times a week. I have been wanting this ability to change physical project space seamlessly for a long time. A physical space that is tied to the timeline of where we left of the last time we worked on the project. As you seem to agree on, the physical space in service design and many other projects is very effective and indusive to good collaboration, overview, ideation and building. Saving permanent physical layouts and loading them when needed seems essential to the product.

@jespersiger this is absolutely supported! if you see in the video where the person selects a room from their "Spaces" menu. These are various projects and you can just swipe through them. they also adapt to the space around you, so you can pull up the same space at home or work.

But the whole reason why I work remotely is to avoid my colleagues! Now I have to virtually invite them into my home? 😂 Looks great though!
