Running a business alone means every decision lives in your head. No one to push back, spot contradictions, or remember what you said 6 months ago. Spar is your AI co-founder — a thinking partner with memory that compounds over time. ✓ Learns your business through conversation ✓ Remembers everything across sessions ✓ Catches when new plans conflict with your goals ✓ Challenges assumptions instead of validating them $99/mo. 60-day free trial. No credit card required.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Bob, founder of Spar. I built this because I've been a solo founder for years and the hardest part isn't the work — it's having no one to think with.
I tried using ChatGPT and Claude for business strategy, but every conversation started from zero. I'd explain my business again. And again. And they'd always agree with me, which is the opposite of what a co-founder should do.
So I built Spar to solve three problems:
Memory — it remembers everything across sessions. Your revenue, your team, your fears, your goals.
Challenge — it pushes back on weak reasoning instead of validating it.
Contradictions — it flags when your actions conflict with your stated priorities.
Tone Adaptation — 5 co-founder archetypes (Tough Love, Strategic, Analytical, Supportive, Visionary) with a slider
Document Analysis — Upload PDFs and images, AI extracts and reasons over them as business context
Searchable History — Hybrid search (semantic + keyword) across all past sessions and facts
Proactive Check-ins — Scheduled emails that follow up on goals and decisions
Session Summaries — Auto-generated summaries when sessions end, archived for long-term reference
Onboarding Intelligence — Guided first conversation that builds your business profile from scratch
Feedback Signals — Thumbs up/down on responses to continuously improve quality
Goal & Decision Tracking — Extracted and stored separately so they can be referenced and followed up on
We're offering a 60-day free trial — no credit card needed. I wanted enough time for Spar to actually build memory and prove its value.
Would love your honest feedback. What would make you trust an AI co-founder?
Hey Bob, congrats on the launch! is Spar's 'Challenge' feature just a system prompt telling the AI to be rude, or is there a specific logic that tracks my business goals and flags when I'm drifting away from them? For a solo founder building a directory, I need a strategist, not just a grumpy chatbot
@markeloff Great question — and no, it's not a "be rude" system prompt. That would be useless.
Here's what actually happens under the hood:
Memory, not amnesia. Spar builds a persistent business profile from your first conversation — your goals, revenue, challenges, runway, decisions. Every session adds to it. So when it pushes back, it's pushing back with context about where you said you wanted to go.
Contradiction detection. If you told Spar last month your #1 goal is profitability and today you're pitching a feature that burns runway — it flags that. Not because it's grumpy, but because it literally tracked both statements and caught the drift.
Tone you control. There's a Challenge Intensity slider (1-5). Level 1 is a supportive partner. Level 5 is brutal honesty. You set where you want it. A directory builder who needs strategic pushback without the attitude? That's like a 3.
It researches. When you ask about competitors or market trends, it autonomously searches the web and brings real data into the conversation — not just vibes.
So to answer directly: yes, there's specific logic tracking your goals and flagging when you're drifting. That's the whole point. A grumpy chatbot forgets you exist between sessions. Spar doesn't.
Would love to hear how it works for your directory if you give it a spin.
@markeloff Few more things:
It actually gets smarter over time. The more you use it, the better it understands what kind of pushback actually helps you. It learns from your reactions — not just what you say, but whether you engage or shut down. Try the thumbs up/down on every response if you feel like. Co-founder has three ways of learning. "Spar is always learning." It learns your business from conversations (memory), learns what kind of responses work from your behavior (signals), and weekly optimizes its prompting to get better at challenging you specifically.
Behavioral signal collection (every message). Implicit signals: Did the user keep talking (positive) or abandon the session (negative)? How long was their reply?
I really want you to try it as to get an idea.
Everything is private and encrypted. You can even delete your account or export your data before deleting. So nothing to worry! I am using it because it is helping me and in future I will be adding few functionalities that goes beyond co-founder. Please reach out if I can explain anything further or any features you want. I will try my best!
@markeloff I didn't mention these as features when launching because I wanted people to be surprised but here they are:
It speaks with emotion, not like a robot. When you listen to Spar's voice, it gets excited about your wins, sighs when you're avoiding the hard stuff, and whispers when it's being real with you. It sounds like an actual co-founder, not Siri reading a script.
It follows up if you go quiet. Talk about your investor pitch on Monday, then disappear? Spar will email you: "How did the meeting go?" The longer you ghost, the more direct it gets — like a real co-founder who actually cares whether you're making progress.
