Windows switched your audio device again? SoundLatch lets you put your speakers, headphones, and microphones in priority order, then automatically selects the right device as you connect or disconnect them. No more digging through Windows settings when you unplug your headphones or plug in a new device.
I built SoundLatch because I was tired of Windows choosing the wrong audio device whenever I plugged in headphones or reconnected a microphone. It’s a small interruption but super annoying to deal with everyday.
The idea is simple: let people put their playback and recording devices in priority order, then have SoundLatch automatically select the highest-priority device that’s available. Boom, problem solved and now you don't have to wonder which speaker will blast DJ Peggy Gou at 3am.

Love this. Windows picking the wrong output the second you plug anything in is one of those papercuts you just live with until someone fixes it. Priority order is the right model too, simple to explain, and it matches how people already think about their devices. Nice one.
