Hi, I’m David, the developer behind TIDSANDA.
SoundCutter started with a task I wanted to make less repetitive: taking a long dialogue recording, cutting it into individual lines, naming the clips and exporting them with fades.
It grew to support sound design too: split recordings at silence, move pieces across four lanes, adjust gain and fades, add installed VST3 effects, and organise exported filenames with folders and prefixes. For dialogue, an optional script helps align and name clips one line at a time, with manually adjustable boundaries.
I developed it with AI coding assistance, iterating around my own editing workflow. If you prepare dialogue or sound effects for games, which repetitive step would you most want it to handle better?
The Windows x64 full version costs $4.99. The free trial has no time limit and allows project saving, but disables audio export. Trial projects open in the full version. Third-party VST3 plugins are not included.
