Record browser calls in Chrome or Edge on a computer with no bot, with everyone's consent (Starter), or upload audio and video in 100 languages. Transcripts and AI notes where every point links to its moment. Free: 3 transcriptions a day, no card.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Kris and I built SonaFact.
It started with a simple problem: AI meeting notes save time right up to the moment one wrong line gets forwarded, and nobody can say where the sentence came from. So SonaFact is built around one idea, evidence from audio: every point in the AI notes links to the moment in the recording where it was said. One click and you hear it.
On Sunday we shipped our biggest update so far. What I'd most like you to try:
Online call recording with no bot (Starter). A meeting in Meet, Teams or Zoom in the browser: SonaFact records the tab sound together with your microphone, and nobody joins the call as a note-taker. It works in Chrome and Edge on a computer, not on phones. A reminder to tell the others stays on screen, and please record people only with their consent.
Key quotes (Starter). One button picks sentences worth quoting and checks each one word for word against the recording. A quote that was never said does not get through. Checking your own quote stays free on every plan.
Subtitles burned into your video (Starter), and a timeline subtitle editor (Pro) where you drag, split and merge subtitles on your own video. The video stays on your computer.
Smaller things on every plan, Free included: a link to the exact moment in a recording, playback from 0.5× to 3×, two-step sign-in, and an optional 7-day bin.
What was already there: 100 recording languages (word-level timings in 32 of them), speakers separated automatically, exports for NVivo, MAXQDA and ATLAS.ti, and a Telegram bot, @SonaFactBot, for voice notes. Recordings and transcripts are stored and processed in the EU, encrypted, and we don't train AI on them.
The free plan has no end date: 3 transcriptions a day, up to 30 minutes each, no card.
I'd really like to hear where it breaks for you: a language, a browser, a kind of recording, a quote that came out wrong. I'll be here all day answering.
