SoloSquare helps solo travelers, digital nomads and expats meet up in real life. Browse small plans in any city, like a coffee, a hike or a night market, then join one or host your own. It's free. Every city chat has rooms just for women, men, LGBTQ+ folks and overall chat room. There are no DMs, and activity chats close 24 hours after you meet, so it stays about friendship, not flirting. Clicked with someone? Ask for their number in person.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Luca, the maker of SoloSquare. It's a simple way to meet people in real life when you're somewhere new. You open the map, see small plans in any city (a coffee, a sunset walk, a night market run), join one and show up. Or host your own in three quick steps.
Why I built it?
Traveling solo is amazing, until it's 7pm in a new city and you'd really like to grab dinner with someone. A lot of "meet people" apps slowly turn into dating apps, or into giant group chats where nobody actually meets up.
This idea has lived in my head for years. I kept not shipping it. Today I finally did.
A few things I did on purpose:
🚫 No DMs. None. Nobody can slide into your messages, so it doesn't turn into a dating app or at least no dating enviroments provided.
⏳ Plan chats close 24 hours after the plan ends. No endless group chats, no notification overload. If you clicked with someone, just ask for their number in person 🙂
👭 Every city chat has a room just for women, one for men and one for LGBTQ+ folks, next to the main room everyone shares. Hosts can make a plan girls-only, boys-only or LGBTQ+-only too.
✅ Profiles show how many meetups someone has been to and their show-up rate. You can also get a blue check by sending a selfie that a real person reviews.
💸 The basics are free and they'll stay free: browse any city, join plans (from anywhere), host plans, chat with your city.
It's day one and there are zero members. Your city's map is probably empty right now, which also means you could host the very first plan there.
Founding members 🎉
The first 100 people who finish their profile get a founding member number. I'm No. 0, so No. 1 is still up for grabs. And when the mobile app launches (iOS first, then Android), I've got a little surprise for our founding members.
I'd really love your honest feedback:
1. Would you use this on your next trip, or in your own city?
2. What would make you feel comfortable meeting people from an app?
I'll be here all day replying to everyone. Thanks so much for stopping by 🙏
