Everyone shares important data on the internet. But sometimes, most of the time, people feel the need to share trivial/fleeting data also (very cute cat pictures) and even more so during the international lockdown. We became aware of the ever-increasing demand for more data centres to meet these data needs because people forget or fail to delete (especially emails) the trivial data they created. So we wanted to do something about it. We created a blog to highlight some of these issues (https://solid.fish/main/blog/5/t...) and we also created the SolidFish platform as a means to deal with trivial/temporary media on the internet. Using our platform we hope to recycle digital data storage used thereby making the internet sustainable and GREEN!
