Hi Product Hunt! We're sharing Socorin, a lightweight, open-source app for screenshots and screen recordings. Use a shortcut to capture a region, annotate it right where it is on screen, then copy it into a conversation. You can add arrows, text and numbered steps, or pixelate details before sharing. For walkthroughs, record your screen with optional microphone audio. Images and videos stay on your computer unless you choose to upload them for a share link. The Windows installer is about 3.8 MB; the macOS download is about 7.7 MB. Available for macOS 11+ (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows 10+ (x64), and Ubuntu 24.04+ (x86_64). Linux recording needs FFmpeg; uploading a recording from macOS also needs FFmpeg to convert the file.
