Hello, I am Ali - Dad to a beautiful girl who insists that if carrots have vitamin C, pineapples must have vitamin P. My daughter was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) when she was five. She loves sushi and visiting doctors. Social stories are structured and often illustrated stories in which the main character overcomes everyday challenges e.g. - riding on a crowded bus, visiting a dentists, taking turns in the playground - with helpful and practical tips. Social stories are used in schools everywhere but most SEN professionals, teachers & parents do not have the digital skills to create beautiful, personalised and engaging social stories. I wanted to fix this, so - Me and my wife - who is a designer - created a free platform that makes it super-easy for SEN professionals, teachers & parents to create beautiful, personalised and engaging social stories for children with special needs. We are currently working on adding more stories to the platform, adding support for multiple languages and reaching out to schools for adoption and feedback.
