This started with a simple, slightly embarrassing question: what do I actually do at night? Audio snore apps have existed for a decade (SnoreLab, Sleep Cycle), but video was always blocked by one problem — nobody wants to upload footage of their bedroom to someone's cloud. So it never got built. What changed: on-device vision-language models got good enough to run a real AI on the phone itself. So I built SnoreCam around one hard rule — clips never leave your device. There is no upload code path. Anywhere. No servers, no accounts, no cloud. The AI is literally inside the app; it works in airplane mode from the first launch. You prop your iPhone on the nightstand, and it films a 30-second clip only when you snore, sleep-talk, or cough — then captions each one in plain English ("Sat up at 2:14 AM, mumbled briefly, lay back down"). In the morning you get a 3–5 clip highlight reel, a Snore Score, and 7-night trends. The rest auto-delete. First 3 nights are free, no card.
