Snipit helps developers save and orgazine personal code snippets, as well as share and collaborate with team members. The browser extension lets you snip code blocks (or any piece of text basically) directly from the pages you visit. You can also browse, bookmark and fork public content that other users have created.

Hey everybody. I'm really excited to share with you a personal project I've been working on for the past year: Snipit, the tool that lets you save and organize your code snippets in the cloud. In a few words, Snipit allows developers to sort bits of code in lists, to tag and star them so they can easily be found later. It's a simple approach, but it's exactly what one needs to really keep things organized. There are also a couple of extra features that provide further functionality. Like sharing snippets or lists with other users, either publicly or privately. Collections allow you to group multiple lists in a single package or library that you can also share with others. There's a browser extension that allows you to snip code blocks directly from the pages you visit. All that and more. Snipit is currently in active development. It's an open beta, so you can jump right in and use it as a free tool. The only catch is that everything you create is publicly visible. There will also be 2 paid tiers, for PRO users and Teams. These account types will let you create private snippets amongst other things. Right now they're available for free as part of a closed beta in which you can participate. Just enter your email address in the dedicated field on the pricing table and we'll let you know if you're invited to the party. So, dear ProductHunters, please try it out and let me know what you think. Thanks.
