Why did we build Snapshot Site? We built Snapshot Site out of frustration with existing tools — either too slow, too limited (only viewport screenshots), or requiring heavy setup. We wanted a developer-friendly, API-first solution to capture full-page, high-resolution screenshots reliably and fast. It started as an internal tool for automating visual QA, tracking landing page changes, and archiving dynamic content. Most alternatives are either Chrome extensions, SaaS-only tools with GUIs, or limited free-tier APIs.
