Every platform wants a different size. YouTube needs 16:9. Instagram wants 1:1. LinkedIn wants a banner. TikTok wants 9:16. Yep, plan is to keep the preset list updated as platforms shift their specs. Instagram and LinkedIn have both changed dimensions in the last year alone, so it's part of the maintenance.
On upscaling SnapRatio doesn't really "upscale" in the AI sense, it resizes and pads to the target ratio so the base image stays untouched. No interpolation artifacts because the original pixels are preserved, the extra canvas is filled (blur, color, or transparent) rather than stretched.
