I wanted a free way to easily track my daily calorie intake, I knew I'm off track but didn't have the right way to know by how much. The existing apps are either paid, or didn't offer the super convenient way of tracking, I wanted it to be as easy as take photo and done.
We all have busy schedules, I won't be searching in the app database for nasi lemak and then try to see which of the 20 results is matching what I'm eating.
And since I started using the app, I have learned a lot about my food and eating habits, I was easily consuming, 3500 to 4000 calories a day. The snacks thinking it can't be high and then realize each curry puff is 250 and I had 4 as a snack !!!!
This app has helped me build healthy food habits, cutting snacks, oliy foods, processed and junk food, cause all these are naturally high calorie too. Knowing that I have a daily calorie target and need to stay below it, has made me be selective about what I eat, and how much calorie is in each of the foods I eat. I don't need it to be super accurate, a close enough accuracy is good enough to help you be on track.
