joined a small meetup through snapbum and actually kept getting updates from attendees weeks after. the post-event chat is the part most platforms skip, glad someone finally focused on it.
One thing that would make this really useful for me is a "looking for a meetup" thread or opt-in small group feature before events, so attendees going solo can find others to grab coffee or explore the city with. Most event apps leave you on your own between sessions.
