I'm Pavel, and Snagito is my very first app.
I save a lot of links: articles, videos, recipes, things I want to come back to. What I wanted was simple: save something in one tap, keep it organised my way, and find it again in seconds. I tried quite a few bookmark and read-later apps, but most of them never quite matched how I wanted to work. So I decided to build my own.
Here's how Snagito works:
š„ Capture: share any link, image, file or text to Snagito from any Android app. One tap, and you're back where you were.
š Organise: your own categories (names, colours, icons) plus tags for everything that cuts across them.
š Find: search titles, descriptions and tags together. Search runs entirely on your device, so it's fast.
š Privacy was the starting point, not an afterthought:
⢠No account, no email, no sign-up. If an optional sign-in ever arrives (e.g. for cloud backup), it will be strictly opt-in, only for those who want it.
⢠No analytics SDK, no ad trackers, no profiling
⢠Your library is stored on your phone, not on our servers
⢠Optional transfer to the browser app (web.snagito.app) via QR code: content is encrypted on your phone before it leaves, the relay never sees the key, and the package is deleted automatically within 10 minutes
To be upfront about where it stands today:
⢠Android only for now. An iOS version is planned, but I don't have a date yet.
⢠The browser app views, searches and filters your library, but can't create entries itself
⢠A scan currently transfers your 10 newest entries
⢠Snagito is free. I'm exploring a Pro tier and collecting interest at snagito.app/pro, but there's nothing to buy.
Since this is my first app, I'd really love your honest feedback: what would make you switch from your current bookmark app? š
