Hey Product Hunt, I’m Brendan, the founder behind Smoothdev. I’ve spent ~20 years in engineering and DevSecOps, mostly on teams moving fast in regulated or high-trust environments. Smoothdev came out of a very familiar pain: documentation is important, but it’s the first thing to fall behind when teams are shipping. I kept seeing the same pattern, great code, poor knowledge capture, and docs that no one fully trusted. So we built Smoothdev to generate documentation directly from real engineering work, instead of asking engineers to context-switch and write it manually. We’re starting with change-based documentation (commit messages, PRs, release) and expanding toward full repository docs, customization, and direct autonomous workflow integration as we learn from users. This is still early, and we’re actively learning from real teams. I’d genuinely love feedback, what resonates, what doesn’t, and where this would (or wouldn’t) fit into your workflow.
