Hey Product Hunt 👋 Smakly founder here,
I cook at home a lot, yet I kept making the same meals I already knew by heart.
Not because recipes were hard to find. They’re everywhere. The annoying part was everything that came after: adjusting portions, planning meals, building a shopping list, and then actually cooking.
That’s what Smakly grew out of.
The whole app follows one loop:
🔎 Discover
Scroll through recipes shared by other people.
📅 Plan
Add one straight from the feed to your calendar, for yourself, family or friends.
Portions and ingredients adjust to your needs.
🛒 Shop
Generate a shopping list from your plan.
👨🍳 Cook
Step-by-step mode, screen stays on, instructions can be read aloud.
🤝 Share
Post recipes, like, comment, review, save and plan meals together.
Then back to discovering again.
I also wanted nutrition to be useful without making the whole app feel like a fitness tracker. Calories and macros are there when you want them, but they stay in the background otherwise.
Smakly is free and currently available on Android.
I’d genuinely love feedback on the flow, especially whether Discover → Plan → Shop → Cook → Share feels as natural to you as it does to me.
