I built Slopy.ai because I kept noticing that a lot of AI output had developed a very specific flavor: confident, padded, slightly wrong, oddly corporate. The kind of response that answers the question while somehow saying nothing. I wanted to see what would happen if you leaned into that completely on purpose. Turns out a capable model following instructions to be unhelpful is genuinely funny and weirdly cathartic if you've spent any time dealing with real AI slop. The technical bit that surprised me: getting a good model to produce convincingly bad output consistently is harder than it sounds. It keeps wanting to be helpful. Built the whole thing in a weekend on an iPad, then finished it on a 5-year-old laptop. Total cloud cost so far: approximately nothing. Ask it something simple. I recommend "is cereal a soup?"

I built Slopy.ai because I was tired of AI assistants that tried too hard to be helpful.

Slopy doesn't try. It confidently tells you the highest high jump in history was achieved by a chicken named Cluck Norris, cites "The Google (because I said so)" as a source, and recommends consulting Dr. Reginald P. Bottomsworth III, Ph.D. for further reading.
