Slip is a self-hosted visual bookmark archive for saving and rediscovering everything you find online. It automatically extracts content, organizes links in a beautiful visual stream, indexes everything with full-text search, and includes a distraction-free reader. Import from Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or Raindrop. Keep your archive private on your own server with Docker.

I built Slip because I wanted a better way to keep the things I discover online.
Most bookmark managers turn into an endless list of URLs that you eventually forget about. I wanted something that felt more like a personal visual archive — where articles, videos, designs, products, and ideas could stay organized and easy to rediscover.
Slip is self-hosted and built around a few principles:
- A visual masonry archive instead of a boring bookmark list
- Full-text search across titles, descriptions, article content, domains, and tags
- A built-in reader with no ads or trackers
- Automatic metadata and content extraction
- Fast tagging and tag-based collections
- Import/export with standard Netscape HTML bookmarks
- Your data stays on your own hardware
- Docker and Unraid ready
It's open source and MIT licensed.
I'm launching Slip to get feedback from people who have accumulated thousands of bookmarks, saved links, research material, or inspiration and want something they actually enjoy using.
