From a mechanical standpoint, using the MacBook's built-in accelerometer for input is actually a pretty clever bit of hardware repurposing. Most people forget that sensor is even in there. The fact that someone turned it into a product in 24 hours after going viral is a great example of moving fast on a simple idea rather than overthinking it.
