SlapDesk is the ultimate, unhinged desk-rage utility for Windows. Unlike digital stress balls, SlapDesk is physical. Using zero-latency acoustic fingerprinting, it detects the exact moment you physically slap your desk in anger and instantly fires back audio feedback—from satisfying thuds to anime screams. We’ve gamified office frustration with real-time combo tracking, heatmaps, and custom sound packs. Don't break your expensive mechanical keyboard; smack your desk instead.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the maker of SlapDesk.
What inspired this? I’ve spent way too much time watching developers, gamers, and remote workers (including myself) rage over bugs, lag, and endless Zoom calls. The immediate reaction is to slam your $150 mechanical keyboard. I wanted a way to release that raw physical frustration without the expensive property damage.
What problem does it solve? We need a visceral, physical outlet for digital frustration. Digital stress balls don't work. SlapDesk solves this by turning your entire physical desk into an input device. You slam your desk, and your PC screams back at you.
How the process evolved: Initially, it was just a joke script that played a sound when the mic peaked. But as we built it, we realized we needed zero-latency for it to feel satisfying. We had to dive deep into acoustic fingerprinting to filter out normal typing sounds and only trigger on blunt surface impacts. Then, we made it completely unhinged by adding combo-multipliers, slap streaks, and ridiculous custom sound packs (yes, it has the Wilhelm scream).
Let me know what you think, and please... don't slap glass desks. 🤜💥
