Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built SkinAlyze because cosmetic ingredient lists contain a lot of useful information — but for most of us, they’re surprisingly difficult to make sense of.
I also wanted to approach cosmetic scanning a little differently. Instead of depending on a product already being recognized in a barcode or product database, SkinAlyze lets you scan the actual ingredient list on the packaging. It analyzes that declared list and turns it into a clear score, ingredient breakdown, and practical insights.
And importantly, the result isn’t just a generic product rating. SkinAlyze takes your skin type into account, because the same product may not be equally relevant for everyone.
That means you can pick up a product, scan the ingredient list actually printed on it, and get an analysis that’s more relevant to you — even when the product isn’t already sitting in a database.
SkinAlyze is live on Android and free to use. Right now, what I value most is feedback from real users: what makes sense, what doesn’t, and what would make SkinAlyze more useful to you.
If you try it, I’d love to hear what happens when you scan one of the products you already use. 🙌
Thanks for checking out SkinAlyze!
