Each week, Micah Merrick, author of "Rethink the MBA", interviews guests from education startups & skill academies; non-profits & Fortune 500 companies, to understand how the worlds of work and education are changing because of technology.

This podcast is the next iteration of a newsletter called Meritmark, which covered topics at the intersection of work, education, and technology. The podcast started 2 months ago as the Rethink Education Podcast, but last week, I rebranded it as Skill and shifted its focus to startups, non-profits, and companies *outside* traditional higher education. Our first interview on the Skill Podcast was with Jamai Blivin, the CEO of Innovate + Education, a non-profit in Santa Fe helping large employers hire workers based on skills, not credentials. Today, our second episode drops with Mike Slagh, CEO of Shift, a startup based in Silicon Valley backed by A16Z that helps Veterans to find careers in tech after the military.
