Hey Product Hunt, we are really excited to share Skald with you.
Skald started after we built a big Q&A AI tool that had to handle thousands of documents for different companies. We learned the hard way that building RAG well is not just about embeddings and vectors. It is chunking, indexing, summarizing, keeping everything fresh, deciding on embedding models, vector DBs, dealing with different formats, and doing it at scale.
So we turned everything we learned into a simple open-source API that any developer can use. With Skald, you can ingest your knowledge and start querying it right away using chat or search. No complex setup required.
