This is my first Product Hunt launch, so I'll keep it honest.

There are plenty of tools for this - but two things kept bothering me:

Most feel clunky or outdated
Useful data is often hidden or gated

So I built SiteStatus.org with a different approach:

@manvsbots Love the philosophy here—cutting through clutter to show what actually matters. The Chrome extension idea is smart too, removes friction at the moment people need it most. One thing that might be useful: when sites go down, people often want context on whether it's widespread or isolated to their region/ISP, which most tools gloss over.
