I’m Hritik Gupta, and I’ve built the next generation of entertainment 🎬✨

I’m a hardcore fan of sitcoms 😂📺 — I’ve watched every single one you’ll find on the platform (some even twice!). While rewatching Silicon Valley 💻, I thought: What if we could create new episodes… or even better, be a part of those episodes? 🤯

That’s when Sitchat was born 💡:

👉 An interactive storytelling platform where you could experience your favourite shows in a group chat with AI characters 🤖💬
👉 Create new episodes with any concept.
👉 Even spin up your own original shows.

But… it failed 💔 My first product failed.

The reality:

➡️ The idea was too ambitious.
➡️ It was my first full-stack project — the technical challenge was too great 🛠️.
➡️ I had no clue about marketing or distribution 📉.
➡️ I had no idea how to monetize 💸.

End result? 142 users tried it once for free, then churned 🫠.

But here’s what I learned 📚:

People didn’t engage much with the chat format, but they LOVED ❤️ the stories themselves.
👉 The core content was solid — the problem was the delivery format.

So here’s the pivot 🔄:

Instead of letting it die ☠️, I’m doubling down on what worked ✅ and fixing what didn’t ❌.

The new vision 🌟:

🎤 Voice cloning technology for authentic character voices
🎥 Full 20-minute episode videos using cutting-edge AI
🧠 Leveraging tools like Nano Banana, Veo3, and genius prompt engineering
🌍 Transforming storytelling from interactive chat → immersive video experiences

I still believe in this idea 🙌.
I still believe AI can unlock the next generation of entertainment 🚀.

So instead of abandoning it, I’m open-sourcing the original version 💻👐 and building the next iteration.

Launching it on Product Hunt so anyone can build on top of it, remix it 🎨, or even turn it into the thing I couldn’t.
