Love Sips by! I've been a subscriber for over a year now and have discovered so many new teas I never even knew existed. I set my profile to include only or mostly loose leaf teas. Each month, I can go in and rate each one and I've actually noticed a difference over time in the teas I get. They also take into account certain things you don't want (I hate stevia, for example, and I've never received a tea with stevia). Over the holidays, I gifted Sips by to a friend and there were a few system issues with gifting I think (she wasn't able to activate the code the first time), but customer service was helpful and got it resolved. The system issues seem to have been resolved since, because I recently gifted Sips by to my mom for Mother's Day and there were no issues at all. I also love Sips by's curated non-subscription boxes - I bought a Sleep Tea Box because I have trouble sleeping and the teas worked wonders. Definitely recommend!

I don’t think it’s worth it - a lot of the teas are offered in the stores and you can buy full packs of teas for less than this - all you get are 4 samples of tea bags based on the profile that is created. The teas are not special or new brands or unique offerings. It’s like I went through my pantry and put a few tea bags in a box and sent it to a friend. Ridiculous - it was a gift to me so not complaining just expected more - I have other subscription boxes that are super generous and allows me to try new brands that I wouldn’t of known about especially small business owners. This is just taking store bought teas and putting in a box - not worth it - waste of money!!! I can’t believe people like this- to each their own I guess

I received an offer through my phone carrier for a free sample box of tea by sips by. My boyfriend is a tea drinker so I thought we’d try it out. He wasn’t impressed and felt the tea would have otherwise been over priced. When signing up, they ask for a card number so I gave one that was a temporary card that expired shortly after accepting this offer. At the time I was not aware I was signing up for a subscription, and thought I would be receiving a sample box. Fast forward the following month, after not being able to process my card, the company somehow got my PayPal information and charged my account! I absolutely never gave them my PayPal information and can’t imagine where they got it from. I made a complaint with support (Katie) and even with explaining this fraud they refuse to give me a refund. Worse I feel my identity was violated. Do not use this company.

Hi Rachel! Thank you for trying out Sips by! The offer of the first box free in a subscription is stated on our website and on the page of the offer you claimed. I'm sorry if there was any confusion. We could not have had your PayPal information without it being provided, but I can certainly understand the frustration. Please reach out if we can do anything additional to make this right for you.

Gave a gift subscription. Recipient was required to provide credit card information and sign up for auto renewals to redeem the gift. What a cheap ploy to make more money off someone claiming a gift.

Hi Tiffany! Thank you for your review. Gift cards can be used towards items in the tea shop or personalized subscriptions. We also are happy to help redeem those gift cards without a payment method needed by the gift recipient. We are happy to assist if you will please reach out to our support TEAm. Thanks!

I have been subscribed to Sips By for almost two years. I am a HUGE tea fan. I was excited when I discovered Sips By. I love that they are female owned & provide minimal, eco-friendly packaging! It is empowering & inspiring to see. I look forward to receiving my monthly curated boxes and discovering what the "surprise" teas will be. I love that I can update my tea preferences & rate my teas. Sips By takes note of my preferences & ratings. I have noticed that my next box always reflects them! As a long term subscriber, I also love that if I am travelling, I can skip a monthly box (at no cost), which is super convenient! I set my preferences to a mix of bagged tea & loose leaf tea. For the loose leaf tea, Sips By always provides tea sachets inside a muslin bag (that can also be re-used for making tea). I often bring my Sips By box with me when I travel, so I can have delicious tea options to enjoy! One of the most rewarding things about Sips By is being able to discover tea brands from all over the world, many being small businesses! I live in Canada, so the only downside to Sips By is the shipping is about the same price as the box, but as a small business I understand it can be challenging to find a better shipping rate on international orders. If you are debating about Sips By, I 100% recommend ordering a box from them.

Bought as gift. Wife never able to activate code. Customer service rarely responded and unable to correct. Never sent a refund as they said they would. Doesn't return emails. No telephone number to contact company. Takes your money and provides no product or refund.

I am unable to redeem a gift from my daughter and have been told there was a computer glitch. The glitch continues into Day 3 and can’t get answers. My daughter would be mortified to know something she purchased for me has been a disaster with no resolution in sight. It shouldn’t be this difficult to redeem a gift certificate but it has been. I’m ready to tell her she’s been had and try to get her money back.

There is somethong wrong with their web site when trying to sign up for gift service. I received a gift subscription for xmas and cannot get the order processed. When I tried to contact them through email (which is the only way), I received an automated email stating it will several business days before they can get back to me. VERY frustrating and very poor customer service.

The rundown: this tea subscription box is FUN. Super fun. I learned a lot about my tastes, what I liked and what I didn’t like, and it ultimately led me to a deeper appreciation of tea. Enough of an appreciation to know that this is not a great tea subscription. I’ll start with the pros: - helps you discover new teas and tea brands - encourages you to try new flavors - allows you to refine your tastes and recognize what you’re interested in - fun and unique quiz that lets you personalize your box In theory, all great stuff! However, I quickly grew bored of this tea box. It seemed like month after month, they were sending me the same old teas again and again. They have some really amazing brands advertised on their website, brands that they allegedly send to their users — I, however, was seemingly getting the boring, not-good brands and the boring, overplayed flavors. It was really boring. It seemed like they were not listening to my preferred flavor profiles and sending me random, unrelated teas. Besides, it was $15/month for 15 cups of tea. This is way too expensive for product I do not like. There are tea clubs out there where you pay ~ $15 for up to 40 cups of tea! Way more reasonable deal. Overpriced, especially for a product that isn’t that remarkable. There are so many other tea clubs out there with original, creative blends. There are even other multi-brand boxes out there. I recommend researching some more — the tea clubs I’ve found to be the best are ones I kind of have to dig around for.
