simpler

The idea for simpler came to me way back in 2009 — during a vision quest in New Mexico while I was quite literally fasting on a mountain. In the years since this idea never left me, and so finally it was time to make it happen. This meandering process from conception to execution reminds me of an anecdote: When the eminent Swiss psychologist Dr. Carl Jung was asked what the fastest way to accomplishing one’s goals was, he supposedly replied without a moment’s hesitation: “the detour”. When I first conceived of simpler, I didn’t know how to bring it to fruition. So I underwent, in the words of Dr. Jung, a bit of a detour: 13 years and lots of trials and errors later, simpler is finally here for anyone to use and enjoy ☺️
