I built SimGate because I needed a way to send SMS from my own phone programmatically, without paying for Twilio or relying on third-party SMS providers. Most developers and small teams either overpay for SMS or hack together unreliable solutions.
SimGate lets you use your own Android phone and SIM card to send messages through a clean REST and WebSocket API. No cloud accounts, no API key limits, no pay-per SMS fees. Just your device, your control.
What makes this unique is how lightweight and developer-friendly it is. I'm proud that this started as a scrappy internal tool and is now soon becoming a real product others can use, especially devs working on IoT projects, 2FA, internal alerts, or even personal automations.
