Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Caio, the maker of SilentFail. SilentFail came from a very frustrating pattern I kept seeing in real systems: background jobs that looked fine — no crashes, no alerts, no obvious errors — but simply didn’t do what they were supposed to do. Cron jobs that stopped triggering. Queue workers that were “alive” but not processing anything. Async tasks that exited early without throwing. Everything looked healthy until users complained, data was missing, or money was already lost. Most monitoring tools focus on infrastructure signals (CPU, memory, uptime). Logs assume failures are loud. But many of the most dangerous failures are quiet. So I built SilentFail around a simple question: Did this job actually run, and did it complete as expected? During development, the biggest shift was moving away from “error detection” toward behavior verification — monitoring expectations instead of just symptoms. This is an early but opinionated product, built for engineers who’ve been burned by silent failures before. I’d really love feedback from anyone running background jobs, cron tasks, queues, or async pipelines. What’s the worst “it should have run” bug you’ve dealt with?
