Hey there, hunters!
I'm Joshua, the founder of sikey.io, and I want to express my gratitude to all of you for being a part of this journey.
Sikey.io is a no-code tool designed to help entrepreneurs and developers test their product ideas quickly and efficiently.
But before I delve into the story of sikey.io, I want to extend special thanks to my co-founder, @ronniel_sembrano , whose unwavering support and collaboration have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.
Now, let me share a little story of how sikey.io began:
==========================================
I've been developing SaaS products on the side for the past couple of years, and so far, none of them have reached the level of success I had envisioned. It has been a challenging journey, but that has taught me valuable lessons about failure and perseverance.
As a software engineer, ideas for new products come to me all the time. I'm constantly brainstorming and coming up with innovative concepts that I believe have the potential to revolutionize the market.
A common mistake that I made in the past was jumping straight into development without properly testing my ideas. I would get so excited about a new concept that I would immediately start coding, without taking the time to evaluate whether there was actually a demand for the product.
This often led to wasted time and effort, as I would spend months building a product that no one wanted or needed. Until I reached the point where I just left my ideas sitting in a notebook, untouched and unexplored. I wanted to test the ideas, but I just didn't feel like doing so. I had been through a hard slump.
I decided to take a break. Then, one day, I suddenly felt the desire to start all over again. I wanted to build a tool that would help me test my ideas and also wouldn't take up too much of my time, since I only have 2-3 hours to spare per day. The tool should allow me to:
⚡️ Easily create landing pages to showcase my product ideas.
🤝 Gather potential users with the help of the built-in mail list feature.
📨 Send newsletters and updates to my audience to keep them engaged.
And that's how sikey.io was born.
==========================================
As sikey.io is still in its MVP stage, your valuable feedback and suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you for letting me share my story, and I look forward to your comments and feedback.
I was genuinely wondering if something like this existed yesterday. Congrats on the launch, seems quite sophisticated. Down the line, are you perhaps planning to add a way to export the code? If not, then as someone who does frontend development, I'd love the ability to either make small tweaks to the existing code in my project (from within your website) or to upload my own components (according to your specifications)

congrats on the launch, love the concept as too many SaaS builders fall into the same trap! what are the key things you see Sikey doing differently to a service like Carrd.co?
Awesome product, I can see this being useful for a lot of creators!
With all the built-in tracking possibilities, do you have a system in place for European users that it’s GDPR compliant?

im confused about how you get people to validate stuff? is this just a no-code landing page builder? or are you actually sourcing people to share their opinions about the ideas. if the user is the one who has to bring the audience over, i'm having a hard time understanding how this is different from any other landing page builder.
@avnav531 Hey there, Jake! I got you!
This doesn't guarantee that your idea will be validated once you use this. Instead, it will help you validate it. We don't spoon-feed the users to you; you still have to do the real work.
What do you usually do if you have an idea and want to validate it? Ask your family, friends, or colleagues? Sure, that works, but 90% of what you get from them is sugar-coated.
Sure, you can also ask on social media, but not everyone will get it immediately, especially if it's a bit complicated to explain. Some people need some visuals to fully grasp your idea.
-- That's where the landing page builder comes in.
Now, how would you keep track of those users who are interested in your idea? List down their names on paper or notes app? Some won't even have their email addresses in their profiles, so you'll have to ask them directly, but not everyone will just give it to you like a cookie, right?
In any case, personally, I wouldn't do that; it's too time-consuming.
-- And that's what the waitlist is for.
And the last one, how would you keep them updated on your progress?
Send DMs one-by-one, create a group chat, or you could also send bulk email if you have all their email addresses. Of course, that also works, but again, it's too time-consuming.
-- And that's what the newsletter feature is trying to solve. Send newsletters to your users/subscribers in a single click.
Sure, there are already other third-party services with these features, but imagine having all of them in one app? Launch your idea and have it up and running in just a matter of minutes!
We're emphasizing efficiency in this context. Wasting your precious time on an idea that isn't guaranteed to have a market is something you'd want to avoid.
I hope this gives you an idea of how validation works with sikey.io. 😊
And Happy New Year! 🎉
I found this product very interesting. In this world where speed is of the upmost essence, I think sikey.io has a very real use case and can help founders validate their ideas at a quicker pace. Very cool!
