I kept running into the same annoying loop: spot an interesting coin on X or CoinGecko, copy the contract address, open a separate exchange, paste it in, hope I got the right token, swap. Every time, right at the moment I was actually interested.
So we turned SideShift.ai (running since 2019) into a Chrome extension. As you browse X, CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap, it detects coins and contract addresses and drops a small icon next to them. One click opens a swap with that coin already filled in. You pick what you're sending, enter a wallet you control, and it settles straight there.
We started with just X, then realized the same friction hit every time we were researching on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap, so we brought it there too. A few things that mattered to us:
