Hi Product Hunt, I'm Tarik, and SideMount is a small Mac app I made by myself.
It puts your Android phone in Finder as a regular drive, over the USB cable or Wi-Fi. Your photos, downloads and SD card open like any folder, so Finder, Terminal and the apps you already use can work with them. The phone needs USB debugging turned on once, and nothing gets installed on it.
It isn't perfect yet. Folders with thousands of tiny files copy more slowly than big files, and Wi-Fi is much slower than the cable. If you try it, I'd love to hear what works and what doesn't, especially from phones I haven't been able to test.
There's a free week with no card, then $1.99 a month or $19 once. Thank you for taking a look!
