Windows never got a CleanShot X, so I built one. ShotsGlow captures any region, drops it on a designed backdrop with shadow and rounded corners, annotates, blurs secrets (the blur survives a crop), and removes backgrounds with on-device AI that runs entirely on your machine: nothing uploaded, works offline. Then it exports to 30 social and App Store sizes. $9 once, lifetime, no subscription, 30-day money-back. Built in public by a solo Windows dev.
A small idea: add a hotkey to instantly capture the last selected region again, so when I'm doing repeated tutorials or bug reports I don't have to drag the rectangle every time. Would save a ton of clicks during longer sessions.
@mete1776580 Thank you, that's a good idea. Not in there yet, right now you drag the region every time. I've put it on my list. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for today.
The blur-survives-crop thing is genuinely clever, didn't know that was even possible on Windows. One thing I'd love: a quick keyboard shortcut to grab the last N screenshots and stitch them into a vertical strip, since I post tutorials and that step is always the most annoying part of my workflow.

finally a clean screenshot tool that doesn't feel like a mac port that forgot to compile. the on-device background remover running offline is genuinely useful, and the blur surviving a crop is a nice touch i didn't know i needed.

That blur-survives-a-crop detail is genuinely clever, solves a real annoyance I hit constantly. Respect for building this for Windows when the easy move would be a macOS clone.

Finally a CleanShot X alternative for Windows that actually feels polished. The blur-survives-crop detail is clever, and the on-device background removal worked surprisingly fast on my laptop.

The blur-survives-crop one is my favorite detail too: the redaction actually rewrites the pixels instead of layering an effect on top, so there's nothing left to recover after a crop. Out of curiosity, what CPU did you run the cutout on? I'm collecting real-world timing data points.
Blur that survives cropping is a clever touch, and the local background removal actually works offline without a hitch. Wish I had this on Windows ages ago.
