ShortlistTrace measures how your company appears across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. It runs real buyer-intent questions repeatedly, identifies the competitors AI recommends instead, traces the sources and evidence behind those answers, and turns stable visibility gaps into concrete Fix Briefs you can act on.
Which Vercel product did you use? What new capability did it give your team, and how did that shape the product you launched?

We used Vercel for deployment and production hosting of ShortlistTrace.
The biggest new capability was speed: every change pushed to GitHub could become a production deployment almost immediately. That gave us a very tight build–test–ship loop.
It directly shaped how we launched the product. We were able to iterate on the audit experience, authentication, paid unlocks, reporting, market architecture, and onboarding in small production-ready steps instead of waiting for a single large release.
Vercel made it possible for us to launch ShortlistTrace as a fast-moving SaaS product, not just a demo.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built ShortlistTrace around a question I kept coming back to:
When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity for the best providers in a category, why does one company make the shortlist while another disappears?
Most AI visibility tools give you a score. I wanted something closer to evidence.
ShortlistTrace builds a panel of real commercial buyer questions from a company’s website, repeats those questions across four AI engines, and measures:
• Recommendation rate
• Mention rate
• Citation rate
• Repeat consistency
• Cross-engine agreement
It then traces which competitors repeatedly win, which sources the AI systems rely on, and which evidence gaps appear to be holding the company back.
The Full Audit turns those stable gaps into Fix Briefs with the page to improve, evidence to add, acceptance criteria and a same-panel recheck so you can see whether the change actually moved the result.
There is one free audit per account, no credit card required.
I’d really value feedback on two things:
Does the report make it clear why competitors are being recommended?
Are the Fix Briefs concrete enough that you would know what to change next?
Thanks for checking it out.
