Shop Monitor helps ecommerce teams track public Shopify competitor stores for new product arrivals and price changes. Add competitor stores to a watchlist, see catalog updates in one place, and spot what brands are testing without checking every storefront manually. It only uses publicly available storefront data — no Shopify admin access, checkout data, customer data, sales data, or private inventory data.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m building Shop Monitor for small ecommerce teams, independent Shopify operators, and lean brands that want to track competitor storefront changes without checking stores manually every day.
The first version focuses on a few simple but useful public signals:
- new product arrivals
- public product price changes
- competitor store watchlists
The idea came from a practical problem: smaller merchants often care a lot about what competitors are testing, but don’t have a dedicated research team or expensive enterprise tooling. They just need a lightweight way to stay updated.
Shop Monitor only uses publicly available storefront data. It does not access private Shopify admin data, checkout data, customer data, sales/revenue data, or private inventory data.
I’d love feedback from Shopify operators, ecommerce teams, and anyone doing competitor research:
What public storefront changes would be most useful for you to track next?

Finally a competitor tracking tool that feels honest about its limits. Watched a few stores over the weekend and caught a new product drop the same day it went live, which is exactly what I needed without the creepy data scraping vibe.

Finally a tool that does one thing well. The watchlist setup is quick and seeing competitor catalog changes on a single timeline is genuinely useful for catching pricing tests early.

The restraint of only pulling public storefront data shows real care for both ethics and product focus, instead of trying to be yet another all-seeing spy tool.
