Hey Product Hunt! I’m Lance, the founder and solo engineer behind Shoe’N. The original idea came from years of gaming, sneaker culture and a practical problem: I needed a way to curate my shoe collection without opening every box. It reminded me of the digital closet in Clueless and raised a question: What if real-world fashion worked like game inventory? In games, inventory is more than a list of items. Every piece can be collected, combined and used to express how you play. I wanted to bring that same interaction to fashion without manufacturing products or holding inventory. Shoe’N allows people to save fashion they own, discover or plan to buy inside one personal Virtual Closet. Users can combine those items into outfits through STYLEZ, explore supported products in 3D and shop through affiliated brands and boutiques in Storez. The platform currently includes more than 8,000 products across 16 affiliate brands and boutiques. I designed, engineered and launched Shoe’N independently, including the frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, database, payments, affiliate integrations and UX. It became publicly available in December 2024 and has continued evolving through real production use and feedback. I’m launching Shoe’N on Product Hunt to learn how people respond to this new relationship between fashion, identity and commerce inside a gamified experience.
