ShoCast

My team and I developed ShoCast during the pandemic when venues closed down and thousands of entertainers were left without a way to make a living. Many were turning to platforms like Zoom to host their shows online, but because Zoom was created for business purposes rather than for entertainment, its features (like audio cut outs and less than ideal video quality) were working against performer's efforts to create fun and engaging shows where they could easily interact with their audience. As an entertainer myself, my co-founder and I saw an opportunity to empower other performers to expand their audience reach, collaborate with performers from around the world, and create another source of income through virtual shows - all from the comfort of their own homes. With the exploding popularity of live streaming, we discovered that ShoCast provides a new medium for entertainment that is relevant both during and after the pandemic. I've been to 3 ShoCast shows and had the time of my life!! Was one of the few digital experiences that actually felt real. They REALLY mean interactive, and its so easy to get absorbed in the act. Such a great online experience :)
