On Shizuka's breath screen, "Not now" comes first. "Open" only appears after the breath ends.
I'm Ryo, an independent developer in Japan. Shizuka means "quiet" in Japanese. It started with my own phone use: looking at it wears me out a little, and then I notice I've opened it again without meaning to.
I wanted the choice to open an app to stay mine. So nothing is locked by default. You pick the app that gets a breath (the full version allows more), and the breath screen shows how many times you've tried to open that app today. Then you decide. The 7-day and 4-week views show your usage with no streaks, rankings, or arrows.
On the Home Screen, there's just one widget: up to six app names in plain text, with no icons.
Free: the widget, a breath for one app, Focus (chosen apps stay closed for a set time), up to 3 Routines that do the same on set days and times, and the 7-day and 4-week views. A one-time purchase adds 6 themes, a breath before any number of apps, a choice of breath length (5, 10, or 20 seconds), your own words, a Home Screen font, and up to 8 Routines. There's a 14-day free trial first.
I built it with Claude Code. It's for iPhone, in Japanese and English, and available worldwide except the EU and mainland China.
Which app would you add the breath to first?
