Hi PH, I'm Scott. I built Sheetwren because I kept needing to open a big CSV or someone's .xlsx on a PC without Office, fix a few cells and save it. It's a 64-bit Windows 10/11 app in a zip (no installer).
What it does well: big files (a 200,000-row CSV opened in about a second in my tests), CSV encoding/delimiter detection, leading zeros kept as text, and multi-sheet workbooks with formatting.
What it doesn't do (so there are no surprises): charts, pivot tables, comments and conditional formatting aren't shown or kept when it saves, and it doesn't run macros. Feedback very welcome.
