What do you think? …

Altay
Hey folks! I am Altay from Nomad Interactive, one of the makers of Sheet2Cal. At Nomad Interactive, we love to create various tools to make our lives easier. And we share it with the world if we think it makes the same impact for others! Sheet2Cal was born during such a need. When uploading shots to Dribbble, we were doing our content planning, such as title and description, in a Google Sheets document for team review and collaboration. In addition to that, we were also creating a calendar event with similar information as a reminder to ourselves - when to publish each shot on our shared calendars. During the review process, we had to make every change we made on the post document in the relevant calendar entry. To prevent this unnecessary step, we developed Sheet2Cal and started making our entire calendar organization using our main Google Sheets document, from creating an event to updating it. Then we thought that this would work in many different subjects and decided to share it with everyone for free! Now you can use Sheet2Cal as you wish for your similar needs! If you have any problems or anything you want to ask, we would love to help & answer! Note: We hope you will use Sheet2Cal only for your events that you can make at your home - until everything returns to normal! #stayhome #stayhealthy

Awesome idea! Does it work with date ranges?
Fatih Felix Yildiz
@luzius_fischer1 not yet. But we are planning for adding “end date” capability which you will be able to formulate and calculate an end date, so the ical export will give proper length to each event.

Aside of being one of the makers of this product, I've been using sheet2cal for planning my blog posts: https://tppr.me/SSYaf goes in my google cal (and fantastical on my devices) using sheet2cal

Do changes in sheet2cal docs change the ultimate calendar in real time? Ie., if I am creating a big batch of different recurring events and a location change happens, can I change them in sheets2cal and have them ALL update in google? If not, what’s different in this than the csv calendar upload function that already exists in google calendar?
Fatih Felix Yildiz
Hi @nickgesualdi, ical export is real time (well, whatever google or your calendar service caches). We have 5 or 10 minute cache which is already much lower than the actual calendar services/apps (outlook does 1 hour cache on their servers, google is similar). But eventually, whenever your calendar service/app calls the subscription URL, we will pull the fresh data from your spreadsheet and regenerate whole calendar.

Great tool. The issue I have is when i create 2 events with same name and time they override each other and I get only one in calendar, is there a way to solve it?

Actually I figured it out, just had to delete same calendar link from one of the raws. Thanks again, awesome.
