Preview, search, organize, and process game assets without moving your library to the cloud. Sharp Stock supports 3D models, Spine, images, audio, fonts, local AI visual search and background removal, plus atlas and sprite tools.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the maker of Sharp Stock.
Game projects tend to accumulate thousands of images, audio files, fonts, Spine animations, 3D models, atlases, and sprites. File Explorer and Finder can store them, but they do not make them easy to preview, compare, search, or prepare for production. Opening a different heavyweight application for every format also breaks the creative flow.
I built Sharp Stock as a local-first desktop workspace for this part of game development. You can point it at your existing folders, preview different asset formats in one place, search with tags or a reference image, filter artwork by color, and drag assets into or out of your production tools.
Sharp Stock also includes practical art workflows such as image resizing and compression, offline AI background removal, texture atlas packing, and sprite splitting. The local visual-search and background-removal models run on your computer after setup, without an AI API key or uploading source assets.
The full version is available for Windows and macOS. A free Lite/Demo edition is also available and supports libraries of up to 100 assets, so you can try the core workflow with a real project first.
Optional cloud AI tagging and description features are available in supported store builds when you configure your own compatible API. They are not required for the core local workflow and are not included in the Steam build.
I’d love to hear how you currently organize game art and production assets. Which file type or workflow causes the most friction for your team?
