Shared Board Game Timer

I am fortunate enough to have been able to play test this during development, and cannot emphasise enough the value it has added to our gaming. Play has become much more fluent, and players seem happier to release themselves from AP when they realise how long others have been patiently waiting. I have really enjoyed having the active turn and timer displayed on a chosen device/screen throughout the game, and being able to review and revisit different stats. Lots of other 'gifts' to discover once you've settled into the basics, too. Great stuff!

So, I was part of the gaming group that reviewed the 'Shared Board Game Timer' as Gustav developed it. It's strange but exciting to see how an idea Gustav had has manifested into a useful and fun gaming device, that has not only changed our shared gaming experience for the better; but has also integrated seamlessly into our gaming set up as a much used gaming companion. I really like how the active timer helps keep us all ticking along, reducing analysis paralysis all round. And also helps us keep tabs on whose turn it is, as well as manage our gaming admin effectively. There is fun to be had in how the timer can be programmed and used as a timer. What I also love is how it works wonderfully with online board gaming across all smart devices - with the pandemic, our gaming group (I am sure like many others) really got into gaming on Tabletopia. And the app allows us to not only use the active timer but also to track and carry out those 'fidgety' in game admin (i.e. tallying resources and VPs). No more, 'Did I take money from the bank? I can't remember?!' You can use the customisable app to keep on top of all your game transactions and review things if you are not sure. Magic!! Honestly we don't game in person or online without the shared board game timer!
