ShadowGit automatically versions your code and gives AI assistants access to your history via MCP. It auto-commits every change to a parallel .shadowgit/ repository, allowing one-click restore to any previous version. The included MCP server lets Claude and Cursor query your history with git commands, dramatically reducing context requirements. Everything stays 100% local on your machine with no cloud storage. The MCP component is open source at github.com/blade47/shadowgit-mcp.
