SepiaLab turns a product photo and a short brief into a series of ready-to-post UGC video ads, each built on a different hook. The full pipeline runs end to end: script, voiceover, b-roll, captions, edited 9:16 video. Built for creative testing: generate a batch, keep the winner, go deeper in that direction. Pay as you go, no subscription, no filming.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Jonathan, solo founder of SepiaLab (Montreal).
I built this because creative testing is broken for small DTC brands. Testing 10 ad angles means hiring creators, shipping products, waiting weeks, and paying hundreds per video. Most small brands just don't test. They run one ad and pray.
SepiaLab flips that: upload a product photo, describe your product, and you get a series of UGC-style video ads, each one built on a different hook. Script, voiceover, b-roll, captions, edited 9:16, the whole pipeline runs end to end. You test the batch, keep the winner, generate more in that direction.
Two things I decided early: pay as you go (no subscription, you pay when you test) and no actor marketplace to manage.
I'd love brutally honest feedback on two points: the realism of the videos (watch one with sound on) and the pricing model. If you run ads for a DTC brand, tell me what would stop you from using this tomorrow.

the hook variety is genuinely impressive, I got like five pretty different angles from one product shot and the captions actually looked clean on the first pass

@dndlerx Thanks Döndü, this is exactly what we built it for. Testing five real angles from one shot beats agonizing over a single script. Really glad the captions landed clean on the first pass, that first-try polish is the part we obsess over.

Really cool tool for solo founders trying to test creative without a big team. One thing I'd love to see is the option to plug in a competitor's ad URL so SepiaLab can pull the hook structure and remix it into a batch of variants for your product, that would save a ton of manual research time.

@erhankoalafnk9 Love this idea Erhan. We already pull hero images and copy structure from a product URL, so extending that to analyzing a competitor ad and remixing the hook angles into a variant batch is a natural next step. Adding it to the roadmap, thanks for the sharp suggestion.

A batch of static product photos would be a nice starting point if you don't even have a hero image ready, like pulling lifestyle shots from a URL or pulling the hero image automatically from a Shopify product page.

@veyselzpnf Good news Veysel, this already works. Drop in a Shopify product URL and SepiaLab pulls the hero image and product details automatically, so you can start even without a ready asset. A pure static-photo batch mode from a URL is a great extension of that, noting it.

Really like the batch-and-test approach for hooks. One thing that would save me time: let me upload my own voice sample or pick from a few preset voices so the voiceover matches my brand tone across all variants instead of getting a generic one each run.

@kbra7nqg You will like this Kübra, it is already there. You can pick from our curated voice library or set a preferred voice so the tone stays consistent across every variant instead of getting a random one each run. Custom voice sample support is on the way too. Thanks for calling it out.

The hook variety was way better than I expected, each one felt like a different angle instead of just word swaps. Loved that it spits out the captioned vertical cut ready to post, no editing needed.

@elifozgulb33111 Thank you Elif, this made my day. The whole point was to make each hook feel like a genuinely different angle rather than word swaps, so hearing it landed that way means a lot. And yes, captioned vertical cut ready to post with no editing is the workflow we wanted to nail.

honestly love that it spits out multiple hook variations in one go instead of making you babysit one script. feels like the team actually understands how creative testing works in practice.
