Hi everyone 👋 — I built Sentinel Property Systems for small-to-mid sized landlords who actually manage their own properties day-to-day. I kept running into the same problem: keeping track of rent ledgers, lease start/end dates, tenant issues, and ongoing projects across multiple tools or spreadsheets. Most rental software felt heavy and clunky — like you needed to be a full-time property manager just to use it. My goal was to create something simple and fast that helps busy landlords stay organized without enterprise complexity. Throughout development I used Sentinel to manage my own rentals and projects, which shaped a lot of the decisions behind the layout and workflows. I continuously streamlined the experience so it felt natural and easy to use — even for me as the end user. One small thing I noticed: for first-time users, it might not be immediately obvious how to add multiple properties or quickly track tenant issues. A subtle onboarding hint or visual cue could help make the core value click instantly.
